This building was built in 1900 by John Swan to hold Citizens Bank. The wood frame building which had previously held the bank was moved to the back of the lot and later torn down. The brick building housed three businesses downstairs and multiple rooms upstairs, including Swan's opera hall. After John Swan declared bankruptcy in 1912, the opera hall was also split up into multiple rooms. 524 Broad St. is shown in the yellow oval.
