Harold O. Hadaway

Harold Owen Hadaway was born Aug. 3, 1921, to Clarence and Anna Gertrude Keller Hadaway. He died May 26, 2008, and is buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Boone County, IA.
​
Pvt. Hadaway served in World War II with the U.S. Army, stationed in the Pacific Theater on the island of New Caledonia and was awarded the Purple Heart. He also holds the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Good Conduct Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon with a bronze battle star. He also served in Korea.
