David Wendell Heers was born Feb. 16, 1921, to Guy Albertson and Ethel Genevieve Gilberson Heers. He died Dec. 19, 2007, and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Jewell, IA.
David served with the U.S. Army in World War II. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Aircorps in November 1941 and was called to active duty in January 1942. David served in the C.B.I. Theater—stationed in Western China attached to the 315th Fighter Control S.Q.D. with Honorable Discharge in November 1945. |
