Donald Carl Hoffmann was born Sept. 1, 1922, to Holgor and Hannah Anderson Hoffmann. He died July 28, 1944, and is buried in Center Cemetery, Story City, IA.
Pvt. Hoffmann served in World War II with the U.S. Army 359th Infantry and was KIA in France. He had previously been wounded in action.
