Melbourne J. Nibe
Melbourne J. Nibe was born Feb. 9, 1924 to George and Marie Stole Nibe.
Pvt. Nibe served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II with the 507th Bombardment Squadron, 333 Bomb Group of the 316th Bomb Wing. He honorably served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific during WWII, and in the United States Air Force in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He remained in the military until he retired in 1970. He served throughout the United States and in many foreign countries including Wheelus AFB in Tripoli, Libya North Africa, and Clark AFB in the Philippine Islands. |
