Theodore J. Rickerl
Theodore Joseph Rickerl was born Mar. 21, 1922 to Frank J. and Julia Elizabeth Baldus Rickerl. He died Apr. 10, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium and Saint Peter and Paul Cemetery, Boone, IA.
Sgt. Rickerl served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 369th Bomber Squadron, 306th Bomber Group, Heavy and died in Germany while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters. |

Account of Flight Missions in 1945 by Allen Babin
Allen Babin kept a diary of his flight missions from January 1945 to their last mission on April 10, 1945. Allen was a pilot and Theodore was the tail gunner on the plane. Pages 7-8 share a detailed account of the April 10th mission where Theodore lost his life.
