Olaf Johan ‘Ole’ Tjernagel was born Dec. 24, 1905 to Peder Gustave and Johanna ‘Jennie’ Ingeborg Olsen Tjernagel. He died May 8, 1970 and is buried in Mamrelund Cemetery, Randall, IA.

Sgt. Tjernagel served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the 406th Fighter Squadron in World War II.
