Leroy A. Hanson 

Lars A. and Olena ‘Lena' Charlson Hanson had three sons serving in World War II: Orlin Eugene, Irvin E., and Leroy Augustine. ​Leroy Augustine Hanson was born Dec. 22, 1917. He died Oct. 27, 1974, and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Story City, IA.

Cpl. Hanson served with the U.S. Army in World War II at Camp Barkeley, TX.
