Delbert J. Johnson was born Dec. 26, 1923 to John M. and Sena Jensen Johnson. He died Feb. 29, 2012 and is buried in Ames Municipal Cemetery, Ames, IA.

Sgt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 125th Station Hospital in the Southwest Pacific where he served for 33 months.
