Lester Nelson Lunning was born June 22, 1922 to Silas and Marie E. Bettel Lunning. He died Dec. 2, 1944 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
Pvt. Lunning served in World War II with the U.S. Army 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and was KIA in Germany and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
